Premium chocolatier Patchi has introduced a new range of matcha-based chocolates to the Kuwaiti market, expanding its flavor portfolio with a trio of innovative products. The launch includes Matcha Vanille, Matcha Pistachio, and Matcha Yuzu—each designed to deliver a distinctive flavor experience while highlighting the versatility of matcha as a central ingredient.
The Matcha Vanille variety combines smooth matcha chocolate with a crunchy vanilla wafer, offering a textural contrast aimed at delivering a unique and indulgent treat. Meanwhile, Matcha Pistachio features smooth matcha chocolate filled with matcha cream and topped with crushed pistachios, creating a multi-layered profile with complementary green notes. Rounding out the trio, Matcha Yuzu balances the rich, earthy flavor of matcha with the bright, citrusy tang of yuzu, appealing to consumers seeking refreshing flavor combinations.
While pistachio continues to be a dominant flavor in chocolate innovation globally (it is currently among the most popular flavors in major chocolate markets such as the United Kingdom, and Australia, and was among the most popular flavor during Easter this year), matcha remains a more niche offering with growing appeal among premium chocolate makers. This year, notable matcha-related launches include Singapore-based Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie who tied up with Japanese café chain Warabimochi Kamakura to introduce limited-edition bon bons in three flavor variants: Kuromitsu Kinako, Matcha Azuki, and Black Sesame Hokkaido Milk.
