Swiss chocolate brand Läderach has unveiled a new limited-edition creation in Saudi Arabia: the FrischSchoggi with dark chocolate, raspberry pieces, and crunchy pistachios. The new variety is available through both the brand’s online platform and physical retail locations in the Kingdom.
The move comes amid a broader surge in pistachio-themed launches, catalyzed by the viral popularity of the pistachio-filled “Dubai chocolate bar” across social media platforms. The bar — known for its vibrant green filling and rich, layered texture — has influenced global product development across both legacy and emerging chocolate brands.
Läderach’s latest innovation builds on this momentum but introduces a distinct twist on the pistachio trend, aligning with the brand’s premium positioning and Swiss chocolate craftsmanship.
This is not Läderach’s first pistachio-flavored launch. In early 2025, the company debuted a milk chocolate FrischSchoggi featuring pistachio gianduja — a combination that reportedly performed well within the brand’s fresh chocolate range.
Other players have also responded to the pistachio wave. In March 2025, Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus launched a seasonal pistachio and raspberry Easter egg, marrying the nut’s creamy texture with bright fruit acidity. Separately, Philippine-based DTC brand Plum Tree unveiled a limited-edition “Baklava Heaven” bar, combining pistachios, walnuts, and a citrusy cinnamon syrup — a Middle Eastern-inspired variation aimed at premium and seasonal consumers.
Läderach has firmly established itself as one of the leading players in the direct-to-consumer (DTC) channel in Saudi Arabia and stands out as a major brand among luxury chocolate confectionery labels in the region. With pistachio demand showing no sign of slowing — both in mainstream and high-end formats — Läderach’s latest entry signals continued innovation in a flavor trend with global resonance.
